Michigan based Livio Radio that has already developed several internet radio products with Pandora, Grooveshark and NPR has once again released a new internet radio application for Android users. This new internet radio application will let users access the internet radio streams at home on tablet devices as well as on the go.
Livio's new internet radio application, which lets users access audio streams through a refined software interface installed on a compatible mobile device, offers features like song "tagging" capability, sleep timer and improved proprietary in-vehicle audio playback technology. Coupled with the internet radio car accessories, still in the development process, and the recently announced Bluetooth Kit and factory car stereo solution with DICE Electronics, the Livio internet radio application will offer and attractive and cost-effective alternative to satellite radio. It means more music for iPhone and Android users, says Livio Radio founder and CEO Jake Sigal.

In Hungary critics of a new media law are still concerned despite some amendments being made, a prominent Bahraini blogger is released from jail, Gaddafi attempts to cut off Internet radio and phone networks in Libya, journalist Michael Hastings wins the coveted Polk award for his profile of General Stanley McChrystal, Britain's Daily Telegraph is following the Times and New York Times in planning to erect a paywall, and an independent TV and radio station broadcast in Myanmar is facing financial trouble.
Despite the attempted media shutdown in Libya, videos are still leaking out that illustrate the violent revolt. The collaboration between new media like Internet radio, Twitter, and satellite TV is proving too powerful for dictators to withstand. Gaddafi's attempt to shut out foreign journalists and jam TV transmissions, as well as cut off Internet access is having limited success.
